True or False?

It will delay my graduation.

False! Data from Global Program Support at Texas A&M indicate that students who study abroad graduate in the same number of semester as those that do not (actually a little bit sooner!). This is true across all colleges and majors!

True or False?

I can't afford it.

You can't know this until you explore ALL of the MANY possibilities for financial aid.  For students in our programs, we have scholarship support from the College of Veterinary Medicine and the College of Engineering. Scholarships are also available from the Study Abroad Programs Office, the TAMU Honors Program, the Corps of Cadets, and many other on- and off-campus sources. Talk to our study abroad program coordinator, Katharina Ojala (katharina.ojala@tamu.edu) and she will steer you towards the potential pots of money!

True or False?

My major or degree plan has no accommodation for study abroad.

False! All of our programs are designed to fit into the curricular requirements of students majoring in the life sciences and planning careers in medicine, veterinary medicine, allied health, and bioengineering/biotechnology. In our semester program, students have the chance to fulfill required courses as well as technical and directed electives.
